I am a self-taught artist from New Orleans. As a child, I was always captivated with illustrative works and would constantly use that interest as a catalyst for creating my own art. After many years of working with pencil and paper, I decided to pursue oil as a medium. This quickly became my favorite because of the liveliness that I am able to add with the intensity of the colors.

New Orleans is rich in musical heritage, fabulous architecture and unique artistry. My works are influenced greatly by the character of the city and its people. From street performers in Jackson Square to jazz musicians on Bourbon Street, there are many subjects that I characterize in my art.

Besides the musical influence, there is also my love of animals that provides me with my most endearing works. I strive to portray the wonderful and unique personalities of animals in my art, from the most curious of cats to the ever-confused dog. I never tire of giving these animals character through my brush strokes.

I paint as a creative outlet and to bring joy into the lives of others. Most, if not all, of my paintings are light in spirit and bright in color. I am also grateful that my work allows me to donate to organizations dedicated to helping animals.
